“Correspondences” Patty Smith collaborates with Soundwalk Collective
“Correspondences” is a project that arises from the collaboration between Soundwalk Collective and rock poet Patti Smith. The musical pieces presented at the Main Stage of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center on March 14 and 15 include a collaboration with TBA21–Academy, which explores the devastating impact of human interventions on the oceans, the resilience of nature after the Chernobyl disaster, the decentralized societies envisioned by Pyotr Kropotkin, and the desolations of Pasolini’s last night.
“Correspondences,” which includes live films and director’s cuts, is performed by Stephan Crasneanscki and Simone Merli of Soundwalk Collective, and Patti Smith. The visuals for the performance are created by Portuguese filmmaker Pedro Maia.
