THEATRE: “KASSANDA”

The monologue “Cassandra” by playwright Sergio Blanco is being transformed into an opera at the Alternative Stage of the Greek National Opera (September 27-29), following a joint commission by the Alternative Stage and the Experimental Center of the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires to Pablo Ortiz. The lead role will be performed by the transgender soprano Maria Castillo de Lima. The production is directed by Diana Theoharidi and Alexandros Efklidis, while the musicians of the Ergon Ensemble will be conducted by Nikos Vassiliou.
