Exhibition: The artistic work of Leda Papakonstantinou

The gallery a.antonopoulou.art inaugurates the exhibition of Leda Papakonstantinou on Saturday, February 17th, one of the most important female artists of the contemporary Greek art scene. Papakonstantinou has developed, over almost six decades, a body of work that moves in obvious, international directions and orientations.
Her work explores social reflection, feminist perspective, sexuality, gender identity, history, collective and personal memory. With a poetic disposition, she uses primal symbols with intense colors in the “Banners” and black-and-white in the sculptures and paintings of the “Wet Forest” section.
