Exhibitions: “What if women ruled the world”

From December 2023 to November 2024, the National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST) presents – in four parts – a series of exhibitions exclusively dedicated to the artistic work of women or artists who self-identify as femininities, under the broader umbrella title “What if Women Ruled the World?” inspired by the eponymous neon work by Yael Bartana (2017), which is presented on the North and South facade of the EMST building and is visible from both lane directions of Leof. Syngrou.
On March 8, 2024, International Women’s Day, six exhibitions by five female artists are inaugurated, as the second part of the exhibition series. This thematic cycle is an initiative of the artistic director of EMST, Katerina Gregos.
