Theatre: “Platonov” by Anton Chekhov

The premiere of Anton Chekhov’s “Platonov” took place on the main stage of the Piraeus Municipal Theater, directed by the renowned Russian director Adolph Shapiro, starring Giorgos Christodoulou, Panagiota Vlanti, and Omir Poulikis, with a large ensemble cast of thirteen exceptional actors.

“Platonov” is an early work by Chekhov that was found untitled a few years after his death, so it was registered under the name of the central character. Within it, the predominant thematic motifs that would occupy Chekhov in his maturity are already present.
